p.s. tell everyone you know who has it on their tumblr/twitter/blog to take it down too.
Disappointed— that’s all I feel right now.
No, I’m not disappointed with the five of them. I’m disappointed because of the fandom. A lot of the Cassiopeia I’ve befriended proclaimed themselves as OT5, in the context that they support the five of them no matter what. Although, seeing the things they post on twitter make me doubt that. I mean, do you honestly support all five no matter what, if you now have “TVXQ ONLY. ANTI-JYJ.” or “JYJ ONLY. TVXQ ARE TRAITORS.” on your profile? I know it’s wrong of me to judge people like that but I’ve been in this fandom long enough— long enough to have been crying for and because of them for nearly nine years— but I think I should get at least a smidge of right to be disappointed or to judge fans who just turned their backs on them.
Also, regarding the “JYJ has no intention of working as TVXQ.” statement, it would be good to note that SMEnt was the one who stated that. To be honest though, I wouldn’t be surprised if a statement to that extent was given by JYJ’s side. Why? Because there are a lot of connotations that come with “working as TVXQ”. The most blatant one that people seem to forget is that “working as TVXQ” also means working under the influence of SMEnt. Yes, SMEnt doesn’t own the rights to the name “TVXQ” and its other forms but they do own the rights in the usage of it. That means, that even if the five of them do get together— as long as SMEnt doesn’t relinquish those rights, they wouldn’t be able to release albums/singles/merchandise as TVXQ. (Note: This is my opinion, and should not be taken out as a fact.)
Another thing I would like to point out is that people are treating this end of the lawsuit to mean that the three won’t ever be able to meet up with the two for personal matters. The only thing being discussed in this is their career, not their private lives. Sure, in Korean Entertainment, those two are quite intertwined but fans still don’t know EVERYTHING that goes on in their private lives.
One last thing, I’ve been a fan since I was 10 years old and nothing will change that. I will continue supporting the five of them— and just to make that clear, by “continue supporting the five” I mean that I support them as they were, as they are, and as they will be. So if you have an issue with that, I suggest that you unfollow me now. I have no issues if you’re TVXQ-biased or JYJ-biased but as long as you don’t bash the other side, we’re cool.
